Resurrection Lutheran Church Endowment Fund

The Resurrection Lutheran Church Endowment Fund was established to meet requests that fall under one of the following criteria:

  1. The RLC Endowment Fund (fund) may be used to help other LCMS churches as they get started.
  2. The Fund may respond to national or international needs or disasters.
  3. The Fund may be used for community needs in Wake County, North Carolina;
  4. The Fund may be used to provide for the specific financial needs of individual members of Resurrection Lutheran Church in extraordinary circumstances;
  5. The Fund may be used to provide scholarships for individuals studying at an LCMS Seminary or college preparing for other church ministry vocations.
  6. The Fund may be used to support national or international missionary efforts.

Resurrection has been serving and ministering to the western Wake County area since 1978.  We are part of the larger Christian witness of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, Southeastern District.  Among the local social ministries we support are PLM- Families Together, Christian Community in Action (Cary), and the Western Wake Crisis Ministry (Apex).  Our congregation numbers 2000 baptized members with over 650 in worship each weekend in four services.

We offer trained lay counselors known as Stephen Ministers to support us in our Christian journey.  We are also developing small groups designed to connect us with Jesus and with each other in order to build us up as followers of Jesus.

Since 1984, our preschool has provided Christian nurture to our young children.  Since 1998, our music school has provided quality instruction for a variety of instruments in a Christian setting.  As we celebrate our 35th anniversary (in 2013) we believe the Lord is leading us in many new directions — including a parochial school (we offer K-8), and leadership for a new church in the western part of Wake County.  We invite your partnership with us as we reach out with the love of Christ, by grace, through faith, for service.
